Brexit - How will it affect my order?
From January 1st 2021 the United Kingdom leaves its transitional period after leaving the EU.
UK customers and countries outside of the EU:This will make no difference to how you order from us and the prices you pay.
For countries within the EU*:
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY ORDER SINCE THE UK LEFT THE EU?
What is a de minimis threshold?A de minimis threshold is a value set by a country to apply customs duty and tax rates on imported goods. If the value of the shipment is below the threshold, it can be cleared without incurring customs duties or taxes. The EU has abolishing this threshold altogether, thus all imports – regardless of value – will be subject to VAT.
Clearance fee: As the EU de minimis threshold is now €0, every EU e-commerce transaction will be subject to EU VAT and a Customs Declaration therefore attracting a clearance fee to process your order through customs. The clearance fee is dependent on the courier, value and destination of the parcel. If you would like an estimate of this please contact us to request one.
VAT (Tax): You will be requested to pay the VAT at your country's local rate on the goods, shipping and the clearance fee. Please note, if we send to Europe we do not collect VAT when you place your order like we did before Brexit.
Customs Duty: Duty can be requested by customs on goods which are over €150 and that do not originate in the UK or EU. The duty would be approximately 4% for most motorcycle parts if applicable.
