There are countless manufacturers of motorcycle jeans but after a lot of research we have decided to stock 2 styles of the “Bull-it” range with their industry leading “Covec” material. Coincidently sharing the same name as our Royal Enfield models, they look great and protect better than leather. Just look at the following features:
Covec is a highly technical woven material that has outstanding cut resistance and abrasion resistance qualities, as well as excellent burst strength, making it perfect for use in motorcycle clothing. Incidentally, the polymer that is used in all Covec's fabrics was used by NASA for the Mars space mission, in preference to Kevlar, for its high abrasion resistance properties.
The material used in these jeans is called Covec Laser, so-called because the material can only be cut by using a laser. Knives and scissors just aren't up to the job. In fact, the cut resistance of Covec Laser is more than three times better than Kevlar which is used in most other jeans. In an industry test known as the “Martindale Rub Test,” which tests for abrasion resistance, Kevlar achieves a score of 60,000 rubs before it wears out. With Covec's Laser material, the score was in excess of 100,000 rubs and it still wasn't worn through!
Unlike Covec, Kevlar is also known to deteriorate with moisture either through humid conditions, rain or washing. Covec has a very low level of thermal conductivity, which means that it doesn't heat up like other technical fibres when friction is applied. Sliding down the road in jeans backed with Dyneema or Kevlar can cause immediate and severe friction burns as the temperature of the material rapidly increases. With Covec, there is a much lower chance of suffering such burns.

o 60% internal cover of Covec impact abrasion prevention layer.
o Knee & Hip pockets for optional CE 1621 approved armour.
o Water repellent finish.
